Californian, born in San Francisco, Katherine Irene Alldis has always identified in music and dance her most spontaneous form of
communication. Lively and passionate she started dancing over the wood flooring in her home at four years old. At seven she began
studying  flute, shortly becoming a featured soloist.
She studied Creative Dance, dedicating herself also to the learning of Belly Dance. In the 70´s she moved with her family to the mountains
in Santa Cruz, California, and went to live in an artists community.
Flamenco Dance entered her life as a natural progression. She participated in the troupe "Bailes de España", under the name of Katalina,
where she grew into a featured soloist. After nine years of study she became a teacher.
At the same time her voice studies became of fundamental importance for her artistic foundation. At sixteen, she starred as "Nanette" the
main character of the play "No, No, Nanette" as a vocal soloist. She sang and played flute/picolo in several bands and, around her twentieth
birthday, she started her vocal studies in Opera, Jazz and Pop Music, and learning harmonies.
For many years she participated as a singer and soloist for the "Mt. Madonna Choir", with several CD´s recorded. She also performed and
recorded with the ´a Capella` quartet "Wing and a Prayer".

In the dreadful year of 1992, the tragic death of her brother made her take an endless year away for music and dance.
The learning of the American Sign Language (ASL) was the escape route found by her to grieve and start a rebirth of her life.
In 1994 the birth of her son Cody gave way to a feminine consciousness and a new awareness ot the value of women and motherhood.
Through her songs she expands and manifests a new source of inspiration and hope for our human family. When she takes the stage,
Katherine gracefully blends and communicates a message of love through her voice, her song lyrics and her own unique Sign Interpretive
Dance expression.  She leads her audience on a journey which invites us to explore our own unique magic.

Listening and observing her performance on stage is a remarkable and unforgettable encounter! We are immediately surrounded by an aura
of love and transported by her smooth and melodic voice, through songs that speak of a variety of loves ways; self-knowledge, self-esteem,
universal and unconditional love, peace, emotional and spiritual health are themes always present in her compositions.
Katherine lives and breathes what she sings, in a personal style, where she utilizes her whole body as an expression media.
